ConsumerReports agrees that the Samsung 9100 Series has the largest capacity, about 28 pounds, of the front-loaders tested, and is impressive at washing. It goes on to say a machine needs to hold 25 pounds or more of laundry to earn an "excellent" capacity score. Machines with a 25-pound capacity can hold 12 to 15 pairs of men's jeans.
