Fuciderm is a gel produced by Aventix that treats skin irritation in dogs, according to Drugs.com. It is a topical corticosteriod and antibiotic.

Fuciderm is only available through a veterinary prescription. It contains fusidic acid, which helps to combat things such as staphylococci infections with proper application. Usually, a vet will recommend applying the medication two times a day for 5 to 7 days. Generally, improvement in the condition can be seen within 3 days if the medication is applied properly, according to Drugs.com.

Fuciderm can be dangerous for humans because it may cause problems such as a suppression in adrenal function or irreversible effects on the skin. Pet parents are encouraged to thoroughly wash their hands after applying Fuciderm.
