Rumors that circulated since 2007 said that "Grand Theft Auto V" (GTA V) would only be available for the PlayStation 3, but due to the game's popularity, it was made available on most platforms by early 2015.

GTA V runs on the RAGE engine and can be played in single or multiplayer modes. The game runs in first- or third-person views, and players play one of three protagonists in first-person mode and can play with up to 30 other players in multiplayer mode.
