Is garlic good for blood pressure?

Short-term studies have rendered statistical evidence that garlic may lower blood pressure, reports Fox News. Examination of past published studies shows that after using garlic preparations, participants exhibited a reduction in systolic blood pressure by about 9 millimeters of mercury and diastolic blood pressure by about 4 millimeters of mercury.
No research exists as of 2015 that definitively concludes garlic is a long-term remedy for high blood pressure, explains Fox News. While garlic alone may offer modest benefits in the short term, those wishing to lower their blood pressure significantly should practice overall healthy dieting and regular exercise and monitor their blood pressure closely.
