Is garlic a part of any mosquito spray recipes?

There are several mosquito repellent recipes that include garlic, all of which require a concentrated garlic solution to be made and diluted before spraying. A garlic mosquito spray is ideal for outdoor use and is a natural alternative to potentially harmful pesticides.

Most garlic spray recipes call for three cloves of garlic with the skin still intact to be blended and added to at least a quart of water, creating a concentrate that is then further diluted before application. Hot peppers such as jalepenos can be blended and added for further strength, and a tablespoon of vegetable oil helps the solution adhere to plants and surfaces. The spray should be used with caution around cats, as garlic is toxic to them.
