Where is Belize?

Belize is located in Central America and makes up part of the Caribbean coast on the Yucatán Peninsula. The northern border of Belize is shared with the state of Quintana Roo in Mexico. On its western land border and southern sea border is Guatemala.

Belize is bordered on its eastern sea border by the Caribbean Sea and has a mostly marshy coastline. The country's coastline is also home to the second-longest barrier reef in the world. Belize's land area measures 8,300 square miles and is made up of coastal plains, flat wetlands and heavily forested areas. The southern region of Belize is also home to the Maya Mountains.
