As of 2012, the population of Warren was 134,141. The median age of a resident was 39.7 years. The population was 51.8 percent female and 48.2 percent male. The median household income was $41,006, a bit less than the median household income of Michigan as a whole.

What would become Warren, Mich., was founded as Beebe's Corners by Charles Groesbeck in 1830. After several name changes, it was named Warren, after a hero of the War of 1812.
