Where is the Natchez Trace Parkway?

The Natchez Trace Parkway is located in the southeastern United States. The 444-mile-long two-lane road runs through Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama. The scenic parkway played an important role in American history.

The parkway commemorates the original Natchez Trace trail that American Indians and settlers used. The construction of the parkway began in 1930. For many years, two gaps remained in the parkway due to lack of funding. Finally, in 2005, the parkway was fully completed.

The parkway provides a beautiful scenic driving route and offers biking, hiking, horseback riding and camping. There are also numerous historical sites along the parkway.
