Where is Scotland located?

Scotland is located in northern Great Britain and western Europe. It is west of the North Sea, and south and east of the Atlantic Ocean. It shares its border with England, making it a part of the United Kingdom.

The North Sea separates Scotland from the other parts northern Europe, such as Scandinavia. It shares its southern border with England and has almost 800 small islands, including Arran, Hebrides and Skye. Scotland is divided into a number of distinct regions such as Aberdeen City and Shire, Argyll and Isles, Ayrshire and Arran, Dumfries and Galloway, Fife, Outer Hebrides, Pertshire and Scottish Borders.
