Where is the USS Ranger museum?

A USS Ranger Museum does not exist, although several unsuccessful attempts to turn the aircraft carrier into a museum occurred between its decommissioning in 1993 and its dismantling in 2015. The Navy sold the ship to International Shipbreaking for scrap in January 2015, with dismantling beginning in July 2015.

The USS Ranger was famed in part for its role in the 1980s film "Top Gun." In 2015, backers of turning the ship into a museum failed to convince the Navy to reverse its decision to sell the ship for scrap. Beginning on March 5, 2015, International Shipbreaking towed the carrier from Bremerton, Washington, to Browning, Texas, where it arrived for dismantling on July 12, 2015.
