As of May 2015, country singer, guitarist and actor Glen Campbell is still alive, but he was the subject of a death hoax that circulated online earlier in the year. Glen Campbell was born April 22, 1936, in Delight, Arkansas.

Glen Campbell suffers from Alzheimer's disease and reportedly moved into a long-term Alzheimer's facility to receive around the clock care in 2014. Campbell gained popularity in the late 1960s and early 1970s, releasing many successful country singles and starring in a few movies, such as "True Grit." Two of his most famous country singles include "Rhinestone Cowboy" and "Southern Nights."
