What is the GM employee vehicle purchase program?

The General Motors employee vehicle purchase program offers a discount to GM employees, retirees and eligible family members, says GM Family First. Under terms of the program, participants can buy or lease new or used Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicles at below the manufacturer's suggested retail price.

As of 2015, the program is available only in the United States and includes most current and prior year models. However, some vehicles may not be eligible or available at the time of purchase. Employees and retirees are limited to six total transactions per calendar year. Participants may also combine their discount with other offers for additional savings, according to GM Family First.
