Are GMO foods safe?

Over 2,000 studies, including the most comprehensive study ever made on the subject by the University of Califonia-Davis, confirm that human or animal consumption of GMOs do not pose an unusual health threat. However, genetically modified organisms, or GMOs, remain a subject of intense controversy.

The study by University of California-Davis reviewed 29 years of livestock productivity and health information. After 1996, the animals' food was substituted from 100 percent non-GMO to over 90 percent GMO. The data reviewed from pre-GMO and post-GMO fed animals showed no changes in the performance or nutrition. The animals reviewed were sheep, goats, pigs, chicken, quail, cattle, water buffalo, rabbits and fish.
