Golden Eagle or Golden Age Passports for seniors are valid for the passport holders' lifetime. The Senior pass is now called the America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass. This pass has the same validity.
The senior pass is not transferable and can only be purchased by United States permanent residents and US citizens over the age of 62.
The passes are purchased from a participating Federal recreation site or office for a one-time payment of $10. The pass costs $20 if purchased by mail from the US Geological Survey.
If a passport is lost or stolen, the owner must purchase a new one.
