Do golf clubs come in different weights?
By Forinfos - 11/09/2025 - 0 comments
Golf clubs come in different weights because of different materials with which sports equipment companies manufacture club heads and shafts. Aluminum, titanium alloys, stainless steel and graphite are a few such materials. Of the three types of golf clubs -- putters, irons and woods -- irons are typically heaviest.
A golf club's weight and the distribution of its weight contribute to its swing weight, or how heavy the club feels to a player swinging it. The player's physique and the amount of force he can exert during the swing also contribute. Consequently, the ideal swing weight of a golf club differs from player to player, as does the actual weight of different clubs.
