What are some good flowers to plant in spring?

Lilacs, snowdrop anemone, tulips, summer snowflake and pansy are all great choices for spring flowers. They all bloom early so they quickly revive and brighten up a garden.

Yellow trillium, hellebore, "Acoma" iris, crocuses and bluestar are excellent choices for spring as well. Ideally a mix of early and late blooming flowers is best as that gives the garden color all spring long. Depending on the area, some flowers do better than others, so gardeners need to make sure to check what zone they are in before picking seeds. Flowers that tolerate colder temperatures are ideal for spring, and most need well-drained soil to grow properly.
