What is a good idea for a DIY chandelier?

A few good do-it-yourself chandelier project ideas are chandeliers made of plastic spoons, tea cups and top hats. Each project requires creativity and electrical wiring.

For a plastic spoon chandelier, cut the handles off of plastic spoons and discard. Glue patterns of plastic spoons to a large cylindrical item, such as a water jug. Route the wiring for the light to the inside of the water bottle.

For a tea cup chandelier, hang uniquely decorated tea cups with plates upside down. Place the light inside the tea cup. To make a top hat chandelier, wire lights inside of each top hat, and hang from the ceiling. Use as many tea cups or hats as desired.
