A good name for a pool team is "Mind Your Ps and Cues." As most pool teams play in pubs or similar locations, the old English expression "Mind Your Ps (pints) and Qs (quarts)" fits perfectly into the playing scenario, while the "Qs" is replaced with "Cues," reflecting pool cues.

Although there are a number of theories about the origin of "Mind your Ps and Qs," in the 1700s bartenders were reminded to do so as a way of monitoring the patron's consumption, as well as ensuring they were charged properly. Substituting the "Qs" with "Cues" is an original and fun play on words.
