What is good soil for the Dracaena Massangeana cane plant?

Massangeana, a cultivar of Dracaena fragrans that is commonly known as the corn plant, thrives in a loose potting mix with plenty of drainage. The soil should be enhanced with a 5-10-5 or 20-20-20 fertilizer once per month during the spring and summer. Fertilizer is not required during winter dormancy.
To prevent leaf-tip burn, calcium supplements can be applied to the soil, which should be kept consistently moist without becoming overly saturated or soggy. When the top inch of soil is dry, the plant should be watered again. Because corn plants are sensitive to boron and fluoride, they should only be watered with nonfluoridated water.
