Who are the Folks GD Nation Gangster Disciples?

The Folks GD Nations Gangster Disciples is a gang that originated in the South Side of Chicago by Larry Hoover in the 1960s. According to ChicagoGangs.org, in 1974, Hoover took leadership of several smaller gangs in the area to form one larger street gang with small subsidiaries.

Hoover was later incarcerated for his role as the leader of the Gangster Disciples. However, even during his incarceration, he was able to expand the gang by extending its affiliations throughout all parts of the Midwest and other major cities throughout the country. As of 2014, Hoover currently reigns as the leader of the Gangster Disciples.
