What grade is a "C"?
By Forinfos - 16/02/2026 - 0 comments
In the United States, an academic grade of "C" generally corresponds to average achievement, equating to a score of 73 to 76 percent. On the four-point scale, a "C" corresponds to two points.
The highest passing grade given in the four-point system is an "A" for outstanding achievement. Sometimes, plus and minus signs are used to give teachers a way to indicate academic achievement slightly above or below the requirements for a specific letter grade. For instance, a teacher may award a grade of "C+" when a student's work is 77 to 79 percent correct, exceeding the requirement for a "C," but falling short of the requirement for a "B-" grade.
