The Gravely Model L was a walk-behind tractor produced from the late 1930s through the mid 1970s. This tractor uses a variety of implements such as rotary and lawn mowers, plows, tillers, snow blowers, brushes and saws.
The Gravely Model L was one of the few tractors approved for production during World War II, due to material shortages. The manufacturer made several modifications to accommodate these shortages, including making engine blocks from cast iron and serial number tags from tin. Due to the scarcity of rubber, the manufacturer also made the tractor's wheels from steel and its handle grips from wood.
