Graviola juice comes from the fruit of the graviola tree, an evergreen native to the rain forests of Cuba, Mexico, South and Central America, and the Caribbean, according to Herb Wisdom. Its flavor is a cross between strawberry, pineapple, coconut and banana, as described on Cook Like a Jamaican.
Graviola's scientific name is Annona muricata, and it is also known as guanabana, Brazilian paw paw, corossol and soursop. The fruit contains many healthy vitamins and minerals, and medicines made from the seeds, stems, leaves and bark of the tree have traditionally been used to treat a variety of ailments, according to WebMD. Some believe it can even be used to treat cancer.
