What is a green screen?

A green screen allows filmmakers to superimpose anything or anyone into a photo or video. Any color of screen and flat surface will work, but the majority of editing packages come with a green screen.
Superimposing an image on a green screen is simple when using editing software. Begin by capturing a green screen image and then drag the desired background image on top of the screen. The background will then become the desired image while leaving the foreground objects in tact. The software used to edit the image also ensures the edges of the objects have no traces of the green screen.
