According to Men's Health, the entire guava fruit is edible, including rind, flesh and seeds. Guava is a good source of vitamin C, potassium and fiber. In addition, it contains lycopene, which helps protect men against prostate cancer.
California Rare Fruit Growers explains that a piece of guava fruit is full of seeds, from about 100 to more than 500. Seeds vary somewhat by type of guava. For instance, Hong Kong Pink guava has relatively few seeds, while the seeds of the Mexican Cream guava are comparatively soft. Sweet White Indonesian guava produces many edible seeds; however, fruit grown for commercial juices tends to have tough seeds that are usually too hard to eat.
