How is Guy Montag described in "Fahrenheit 451"?

Ray Bradbury describes Guy Montag as having "black hair, black brows... a fiery face, and... blue-steel shaved but unshaved look". He's a third-generation fireman who takes his job seriously but grows restless as the story progresses.

The author uses character and environments description to bring out what Montag is feeling. At the beginning, Montag feels joy in his job. He loves dressing in his uniform and smelling like ash, and he especially loves using the fire hose. However, as he remains trapped in a loveless marriage and a negative friendship with his neighbor, his discontent in his job grows.
