What happened to the small plastic wall-mounted Dixie Cup dispensers?

The original small plastic wall-mounted Dixie Cup dispensers have been replaced with a counter top version. These new counter top versions can hold both the 3 oz. and the 5 oz. Dixie Cups. Stainless steel wall-mount dispensers may still be found in office supply stores, as of 2015.

Dixie cup dispensers first appeared around 1943 and were attached to water tanks at the Red Cross and other war industries of the time. Vintage plastic Dixie Cup dispensers may still be obtained through a secondary market such as Etsy or Ebay, but are no longer being manufactured and are not available in stores.
