The condition Mullerian agnesis is when a woman is born without a uterus and it affects approximately 1 woman out of 4,000 to 10,000, according to The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Females with this medical condition are either born without a uterus, vagina or both. There are surgical procedures available for women born without a vagina that can lead to successful pregnancies.

Females without the proper reproductive organs will not have a menstrual cycle because they have a reproductive tract that did not develop normally. For the surgical creation of a vagina, females are recommended to go through proper counseling before the procedure to become fully prepared for what they will experience before, during and after the procedure.
