To refill a helium gas tank, find a local gas company and pay a fee to recharge the tank. Find an industrial or commercial gas distributor through the yellow pages. Alternately, contact a party-supply retailer.

Find a party supply store that rents helium tanks, and ask if they refill existing tanks. Some medical supply companies that sell oxygen tanks may also sell and refill helium tanks. Some florists that deliver balloons also keep helium on hand. Contact an event planning company, if all else fails, and ask if the company is able to refill a helium tank or knows where to take one.
