Is Hidy Honda in Ohio a family-owned business?

As of May 2015, Germain Motor Company finalized the purchase of Hidy Honda in Beavercreek, Ohio, from the Hidy family, doing business under the names Hidy Motors, Inc. and Hidy South LLC. The Hidy family opened its first Honda dealership in Xenia, Ohio, in 1975.

Hidy Motors, Inc. employed 225 people at the time of its merger with Germain Motors and Superior Automotive Group, which acquired the family's Acura and Hyundai dealerships in 2015 as well. Although, the Hidy family sold its dealerships, it is reported that more than 90 percent of the staff will retain their positions under the new management.
