Some highlights from the last episode of "Late Night with David Letterman" include a video tribute from the former presidents and President Barack Obama and the Foo Fighters closing out the show with their song "Everlong." The show also had a special Top Ten List segment with several celebrities.

Some of the celebrities on the Top Ten List segment were Tina Fey, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Jim Carrey and Bill Murray. When Letterman arrived in the Ed Sullivan Theater to deliver his opening monologue, the audience gave him a standing ovation. The show ended with a montage of its best moments while the Foo Fighters played live.
