The best no-fee checking accounts in 2015, according to U.S. News & World Report Money, include Bank5 Connect, FNBO Direct and Bank of Internet USA. Others on the list include Capital One 360, iGObanking.com and Ally Bank.
The Bank5 Connect account features 0.76 percent APY, or annual percentage yield. It also has no fees and sets the minimum opening deposit at $10. The FNBO Direct account has an even lower minimum deposit of just $1, although its interest rate is slightly lower, at 0.65 percent. The interest on the Bank of Internet USA Rewards Checking account starts at 0.47 percent APY but can climb to as high as 1.25 if customers complete certain criteria.
