On April 12th, 2015 Hillary Clinton announced that she will seek the Democratic Party's nomination in the upcoming 2016 presidential election. This will be Clinton's second presidential campaign.
Hillary Clinton has served as a United States Senator, the First Lady and most recently Secretary of State. She lost the Democratic Party's nomination in 2008 to current President Barack Obama, who will be endorsing Clinton in the 2016 election. Other Democratic candidates include Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, though Clinton is currently the front runner by a wide margin, having significant name recognition and a wide donor base.
