What areas did Sacagawea explore?

Sacagawea was an 18th century Shoshone explorer and interpreter, known for being the only female member of the Meriwether Lewis and William Clark expedition into the western areas of America. Besides acting as an interpreter on the expedition, she also served as a symbol of peace as she was traveling with her child.

Much of Sacagawea's life is not well known. She was one of the wives of Toussaint Charbonneau, a French-Canadian trapper who also took part in the expedition. During the Lewis and Clark expedition, she crossed the Rocky Mountains and then reached the Pacific Coast, where she took part in the building of Fort Clatsop.
