What can you make with hobby model kits?

Things hobbyists can make with hobby model kits include cars, ships, airplanes, spaceships and military tanks. Some kits are based on specific car or airplane models, while others are product tie-ins with movies such as "Star Wars."

Airplane models from kits include the A-10 Warthog and F-18 Hornet painted like the Blue Angels U.S. Navy flight team. Some kits offer models of other aircraft such as the AH-64 Apache helicopter.

Ship models include historical nautical vehicles such as the Cutty Sark clipper ship and the RMS Titanic or the modern U.S.S. Nimitz CVN-68 aircraft carrier.

Some of the "Star Wars" model kits feature X-wing fighters, tie fighters and the Millennium Falcon.
