Lincoln Logs were indeed named after President Lincoln, according to Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Park. These building block toys were shaped like logs, conjuring up the iconic image of the log cabin President Lincoln lived in before he began his rise to the presidency.
President Abraham Lincoln is not the only famous name associated with Lincoln Logs. This toy was invented by John Lloyd Wright, son of the famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The miniature building logs feature notches that allow users to stack the logs in order to form small buildings that resemble log cabins.
