Mad Libs is a template word game that was invented in the United States in the 1950’s. Its inventors, Leonard Stern and Roger Price, thought up the game by putting their love for words into fun and exciting templates.
Mad Libs books and apps contain a myriad of short stories that all have key words missing. To play, the players take turns filling in the blanks by using appropriate clues given by the game. Beneath each blank is a specified category, such as noun, verb or person. Once all the blanks have been filled, users read the story to see what comedic tale they created.
