What is Rivet City?

Rivet City is a location inside the "Fallout 3" video game and is geographically located on the shores of Washington, D.C. The city is built inside a beached American aircraft carrier and is one of the most heavily defended areas within the game.

Rivet City is a central location in the main quest of "Fallout 3," as it houses a science team. The father of the protagonist is part of this science team, which is researching Project Purity. The city is guarded by a 24-hour security shift and contains amenities such as a shopping area, a church, a bar and a hotel.
