A simple way to save a corsage is to put the corsage in a plastic container and freeze it. Another method of preservation is to spray the entire corsage thoroughly with hair spray. Before attempting to preserve the corsage, any damaged petals need to be removed.

Silica gel is an effective medium for preserving floral arrangements. A plastic container is filled approximately halfway full with the gel. The corsage is then placed inside and covered with more gel. Once the lid has been put back on, the container must be left alone 1 to 3 weeks in an area that is dry and warm. The corsage may then be removed and any extra gel can be shaken off.
