What is my lunar age?
By Forinfos - 07/04/2025 - 0 comments
A person's lunar age is determined by counting how many Chinese new years have passed since that person's birth, then adding one to that number. East Asian age reckoning considers a baby to be one year old at birth.
The Chinese New Year takes place between Jan. 21 and Feb. 20 based in the Chinese lunar calendar. The celebration lasts from Chinese New Year's Eve until the 15th day of the first month of the new year. The onset of the new year is used to mark a person's lunar age, rather than the convention of using the day of birth to do so, as is prevalent in many cultures.
