What is cabinet refacing?

Cabinet refacing is the process in which cabinet doors and drawer fronts are replaced with new ones while veneering the exposed face frames. Typically, this process involves hiring professional craftsmen to do the job, which usually takes two to four days. The completion time, however, depends on the kitchen size.
Cabinet refacing involves removing the cabinet drawer fronts and doors, installing new drawer fronts and doors, preparing the face frame surfaces for veneer covering by roughing them up, and securing the veneer covering onto the surfaces with glue or nails. Filling the nail holes and trimming off the seams and edges completes the process.
