The prices on the U.S. Energy Information Administration home heating oil price chart vary by region. The chart lists the monthly prices of home heating oil for the East Coast, New England, Central Atlantic, Lower Atlantic and Midwest regions of the United States.
As of 2016, the price of home heating oil is highest in the Central Atlantic region where a gallon costs $2.307 excluding taxes. Prices are at its lowest in the Midwest at $1.872 per gallon.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration publishes the home heating oil price chart for the months of October to March. A chart showing the weekly change is prices is also available of the Administration’s website.
