Some 50cc class Honda moped models include the Honda P50, Honda PA50, Honda PC50, SFX50 and SH50. Models of 50cc class Honda scooters, which are sometimes incorrectly referred to as mopeds, include the Honda Jazz, Honda Metropolitan II, Honda Spree and Honda Elite E.

In many states, only a basic automobile license is required to ride 50cc class mopeds legally on the street with minimal restrictions. Mopeds differ from scooters in that mopeds have pedals which may be used to power the bike or assist the engine whereas scooters do not have pedals and are typically characterized by a step-through design and automatic transmission.
