Is information on deer populations for Wisconsin available on the state DNR website?

As of September 2015, the Wisconsin state Department of Natural Resources (DNR) posts two deer population estimates each year on its website. Estimates are taken in the fall before hunting season and in the winter after the season ends. The post-hunting estimates determine the quota for the following year's harvest.

Population estimates also include density and harvest rates from local management units and hunters. The Wisconsin DNR performs research during other parts of the year for issues not related to hunting, such as diseases, car accidents and birth rates. They are also responsible for managing the deer's habitat and making decisions about feeding during severe winters.
