As of 2015, Insight Communications is located at 430 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd. in Louisville, Kentucky. Insight Communications offers cable television service to customers in its service areas in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. Time Warner Cable purchased the company in 2011.

At the time of its purchase, Insight Communications had 760,000 subscribers and was the ninth largest cable company in the United States. After the purchase, Time Warner Cable completely absorbed the company and switched subscribers over to its cable services. As of 2014, the only service left branded as Insight was its webmail service, although customers have the option of switching their Insight email services to Time Warner Cable’s email services if desired.
