How do you install snow leopard?

To install Snow Leopard, you need an installation disc and a Mac that meets the minimum requirements for using the operating system. Make the Mac computer has an Intel processor, at least 5 gigabytes of available hard disk space, at least 1 gigabyte of ram and a DVD drive for installation.
- Erase the hard drive
Turn on the computer, and back up your hard drive if you want to save your content. Insert the installation disc, and restart the computer. Press and hold the C key during start-up. Select a language, and click the Utilities menu. Select a volume to erase, and click the Erase tab. Click Erase in the dialog box. Choose Quit Disk Utility after it completes the process.
- Install the operating system
Click Continue on the Snow Leopard installation screen. Click Agree on the License Agreement screen. Select the disk you erased in the previous step, and click Install. Click Continue on the Additional Information screen. Afterward, restart the computer.
- Complete the setup
Use the Mac OS X Setup Assistant to complete the installation and configuration process. Follow the Setup Assistant to configure your wireless settings, the keyboard layout and other basic configuration options. Lastly, eject the disc from the drive once you have completed the setup. Install any bundled software using the Applications Installation disc.
