What are some interesting facts about governor Charlie Crist?

Charlie Crist, the former governor of Florida, began his political career as a Republican. While serving as Florida's governor from 2007 to 2011, he switched to the Independent party. In late 2012, he switched parties again, and is a Democrat as of July 2015.

Crist graduated from the Cumberland School of Law in 1981, and after passing the bar exam on his third attempt, was hired as general counsel for Minor League Baseball headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida. Crist won election to the Florida senate in 1992. He served as education commissioner of Florida from 2001 to 2003 and as Florida's attorney general from 2003 to 2007.
