Some interesting facts about "Happy" by Pharrell are that the song was written by Pharrell himself, not a team of writers, and that it has roughly 20 percent more chorus than other songs from same period. The song was beaten out of an Oscar by Frozen's "Let It Go."

Additional facts include that the "Happy" video is the first ever 24-hour music video and was filmed over 11 days using a Steady Cam, and the song was Pharrell's first No.1 as a solo artist on the Hot 100. "Happy" received two Grammy awards at the 2015 ceremony. "Weird Al" Yankovic wrote a parody of the song for his 2014 album, "Mandatory Fun."
