What are some Inuit weapons?

Inuit weapons were generally dual-purpose hunting and fighting tools, such as the harpoon, the bola, the cable-backed bow and the stone knife. Inuits were often hampered by a lack of natural resources to craft tools, so their weapons featured large amounts of bone.

Inuit weapons were made primarily with wood and animal products, like sinew and bone. Whale and walrus ivory were often used to craft hooks, knife blades and harpoon and arrow heads. A bola, made of two rocks or other weights joined by a long sinew cord, was intended to entangle or stun prey and enemies. Every Inuit carried a knife of some sort. Women sometimes used the ulu, a cutting and chopping implement, for self-defense.
