Who invented Jordans?

The first Air Jordan shoe was designed by Peter Moore in 1985 and featured the Nike Swoosh and a newly-designed wings logo, according to Foot Locker. The Air Jordan 1 also featured a Nike Air unit for cushioned heels, toe overlay for added lockdown and protective padded foam ankle collars.
Foot Locker states that the Air Jordan 1 retailed for $65 during the 1985 basketball season, in which Jordan himself wore the shoes. The black/red color scheme was banned by the NBA during that season, resulting in a $5,000 fine to Jordan every time he wore the shoes during a game. Nike paid the fines, and Jordan wore the shoes during the playoffs against the Boston Celtics, in which he scored 63 points.
